A mammoth crowd showed love to Uhuru Kenyatta on his visit as he asked voters to register in large numbers.
During the visit, Uhuru solved a dispute that was sparked off by Deputy President William Ruto’s remarks.
During a previous visit by Ruto, he declared Chuka town the headquarters of Tharaka Nithi instead of Kathwana market which sparked outrage and protests in the area.
The president overruled his deputy’s statement and declared that Kathwana was the coutny’s headquarters sparking celebration.
Tharaka Nithi is one of the major stronghold regions for the Jubilee Party with majority of voters allied to Uhuru.
