Nyeri woman storms HUSBAND’s church wedding, what follows next will have the priest regretting

There was drama in Mathira, Nyeri after a woman attempted to block a wedding

The woman claimed the groom was her husband of 10 years with two children and had walked out after receiving compensation money

The woman wailed and threw herself in the ground but police barred her from the church compound

 

A middle-aged woman in Mathira, Nyeri county caused drama at the wedding of her husband of 10 years at Kanyama PCEA church.

Lydia Mugure caused a ruckus at the church gate together with her son and church members but police barred them from accessing the church compund.

She wailed and threw herself in the ground helplessly trying to stope the nuptials went on undisrupted.

She threw herself on the ground in a bid to stop the wedding

Mugure claimed she was George Kiragu’s wife for the last 10 years and have two children together but he walked out of their marriage carrying all electronics.

According to Mugure, her husband was involved in an accident and was set to be paid KSh 500,000 compensation but his family told him to leave to get another wife.

The wedding went on despite her antics

She said she went to the church officials to stop the wedding and seek a solution on the children’s welfare but there was agreement.

The presiding pastor allowed the wedding to continue saying only a court order can stop a wedding.

Villagers and church members who unsuccessfully tried to enter the compound who vowed to boycott Sunday’s church service.
