37-Year-Old Edna Kiplagat Wins Women’s Race at the 2017 Boston Marathon

Edna Kiplagat Wins Women's Race at the 2017 Boston Marathon
Kenyan veteran runner Edna Kiplagat won the women’s 2017 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17th.

The 37-year-old, running in her first Boston Marathon, cruised to victory in a time of 2:21:52.

Bahrain’s (Kenyan-born) Rose Chelimo finished second in a time of 2:22:51, followed in third place by Jordan Hassay of the United States in 2:23:00.

Edna has won six career marathons, including in London, Los Angeles, New York, 2 IAAF Championships, and now the Boston Marathon.
